In an industry increasingly relying on quick-scan apps and automated 3D technology, we’ve taken the opposite approach. We do not rely on scanning systems to calculate square footage. Every property is physically measured on-site by trained professionals, achieving accuracy down to 1/10th of an inch.
Why does that matter? Because scan-based systems are fast—but they’re not built for the level of accuracy, consistency, or accountability that RMS demands. When square footage matters, “close enough” isn’t good enough. At UrbanMeasure, there’s no outsourcing and no automation guessing behind the scenes. That’s also why we carry $5 million in Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance—because we’re willing to back our measurements with real accountability. You won’t see our reports buried in disclaimers like “deemed approximate” or “subject to verification.” We don’t pass the responsibility on—we own it.
